What Is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It’s an easy way for you to keep up with news and information that’s important to you, and helps you avoid the conventional methods of browsing or searching for information on websites. Now the Evidence for Christianity content you want can be delivered directly to you! All you need to do is get yourself an RSS Reader.

What Is an RSS Reader?

An RSS reader is a small software program that collects and displays RSS feeds. It allows you to aggregate conent from a number of news sources into a central location – the RSS app.

Where Can I Get an RSS Reader?

Some browsers have built in RSS readers. If you’re using a browser that doesn’t currently support RSS, or you prefer to use a dedicated app, there are a variety of RSS readers available from your favorite app store, such as Feedly, NewsBlur and Inoreader; some are free to download and others are available for purchase. Note that you should contact the app developer directly for any support issues you might encounter.

How Do I Use RSS Feeds?

After you download and install your reader, follow its directions on adding a new feed, sometimes called a “channel.”. It will want to know the URL of the feed you want to follow. Ours is www.evidenceforchristianity.org/feed. Just copy the address starting with the first “w” and include the word “feed” as shown. Your reader will know what to do from there and can notify you when new posts are added on our site.
